Paragons diverse and impactful background started as an Eagle Scout, he learned invaluable leadership and survival skills. His dedication to service continued as a US Navy veteran, where he served in Beirut, Lebanon, as a combat medic during the embassy bombing with the 24 MAU Marines.
Transitioning to civilian life, Paragon pursued academia, becoming an Sr. research associate in Physiology at the prestigious Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda. Where he was the Director of the Pharmacy. Additionally, his commitment to social justice led him to serve as a certified sexual assault advocate on the Ventura Domestic Violence Task Force.
Paragon was an ordained Buddhist Monk in Thailand. He is a 32 degree Mason, and Shriner.
He continues to serves as mental health advocacy is evident through his role as the Mental Health Duty Chief for the Burning Man Organization since 1999. He also lends his expertise to the AGSS Cancer Foundation as a member of the Board of Directors.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Paragon finds joy in family life, being a devoted father to three children and a loving grandfather to nine grandchildren. He balances his busy schedule with activities such as gym workouts, football games, and volunteering his time to cook for those in need.
